Remember that line repeated over and over again in the famous Dr Seuss book Horton Hears a Who? Although Horton’s fellow citizens ridiculed him for caring about this tiny life, not seen by others, he nevertheless loved and cared for these little ones, no matter how small.
Our parish Pro-Life Committee seeks to keep a similar, even more profound awareness in front of our fellow parishioners and our community regarding life in all of its phases: the unborn, the disabled, the medically vulnerable, the elderly, and so on. These are the people whose lives may be ignored by our current culture. If you care, please help with this effort.
Come to our Parish Pro-Life meetings in Fr Fisher Hall on the second Sunday of the month following 10:30 am Mass (during Coffee Hour). Come no matter which Mass you attend. Come help to generate ideas and plan activities to encourage a “culture of life” in a time when it can be ignored and ridiculed.

This is a sincere request to please take a few minutes to either read or listen to (or both!) an important address given by Dr Anca-Maria Cernea, a Romanian Catholic physician, to Pope Francis and the Synod of Bishops at their recent meeting in Rome to consider “The vocation and mission of the family in the Church and in the contemporary world. ”
Fr.Bosco recommends to us this profound insight as we pray for our Holy Father and the Bishops at this crossroads of history.
Calling the attacks on the family a form of “cultural Marxism,” Dr. Cernea explains, “This ideology calls itself progressive. But it is nothing else than the ancient serpent’s offer, for man to take control, to replace God, to arrange salvation here, in this world.” Please take the time to read her entire address. The written presentation is rather short (just about a page or so), and the video is a longer interview that expands on her prepared address (about 19 minutes).
May the Holy Father and Bishops have ears to hear these words presented with eloquence and clarity by a Catholic lay woman.
